there once existed a girl with short black hair and eyes that melted brown
her hands were always open and she wore floral dresses
and kisses from the sun. she flew with the doves and rested in the treetops
basking in the dizziness of eternal childhood and beauty

she danced with incomprehensible joy
taking endless photos in her mind.
eyes closed her lips touched the heavens. a divine smile
and she would lay on the velvet grass until she sank into the earth

she watched herself become alone
and find comfort from john, paul, ringo and george. her only friends
together they would get lost in strawberry fields and sail across the universe.
all you need is love

one day she grew out her hair and ran away
she adorned her long tresses with hundreds of black and white flowers
and let her spirit get carried away with the dead leaves
when she glanced behind everything had dissolved and melted

then there existed a girl with long brown hair and eyes that were always lost
she became a picture of helpless loneliness. such sublime and utter loneliness
drifting the sweet, sad years, the melancholy years
she caught her tears in a cup that became the ocean. and she drowned

don't waste your time on me
